Psonic currently has three primary product types:

• Gateways for low latency access to financial markets.
• Real-time analysis of financial order flows, with an emphasis on risk assessment.
• FPGA solutions for specific risk checks.

We are looking for an FPGA developer to join our team to extend and expand our FPGA offerings, particularly in the trading gateway space.

The successful candidate will share our core qualities of reliability, agility, and quality, and can work effectively within our cross-functional team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and verification / test of FPGA-based solutions.
• Work together with the software team to integrate firmware/software components.
• Full product life cycle, from design to support.
• Work together with customers, in particular:
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Support.
  • Maintenance (often only on weekends and outside hours).
• As we grow, there will be opportunities for mentorship and leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Computer Science / Engineering degree, or similar.
• At least two years of commercial experience in FPGA development.
• Solid working knowledge of VHDL.
• Other preferred languages: C / C++, Python.
• Sound understanding of networking.
• Dependable, conscientious, supportive.
