The solutions cover a range of technologies and methodologies, and the scope of work ranges from Web GUIs to TCP analysis. We have solutions in several markets in the APAC region and are looking to expand the set of markets in which we operate.

Psonic currently has three primary product types:

• Gateways for low latency access to financial markets.
• Real-time analysis of financial order flows, with an emphasis on risk assessment.
• FPGA solutions for specific risk checks.

We are looking to recruit a committed C++ developer, who shares the same core qualities of reliability, agility, and quality. The work is predominantly C++ on the main products, but also includes other areas, such as scripting automation (Python / Bash) and working on our Web GUI. Our customers do maintenance outside of trading hours, so there is occasional outside business-hours support.

The successful candidate will share our core qualities of reliability, agility, and quality, and can work effectively within our environment of cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• C++ development on Linux.
• Full software life cycle, from design to support.
• Working together with customers, particularly.
  • Analysis of historical data.
  • Troubleshooting
  • Support (occasionally on weekends).
• Opportunities to use a broad range of technologies that cover different aspects of the products.

Required Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Education

• Rights to work in Australia.
• Computer Science / Engineering degree, or similar.
• Good C++ working knowledge, with at least two years of commercial experience.
• Dependable, conscientious, supportive.
